How much does a Wiz Studio Labs website cost?

Wiz Studio Labs charges RM 399 per year (Founders' Year pricing), all-in. This includes the website build, hosting on Vercel, SSL, custom domain mapping, LHDN MyInvois-compliant invoicing, schema.org SEO baseline, mobile + desktop responsive design, and one round of revisions. There is no setup fee and no hidden costs.

How long does it take to build my Wiz site?

Wiz sites go live in 2-3 working days from brief submission. Most customers see their site at a preview URL within 48 hours and have their domain mapped within a week.

How many edits are included?

One round of revisions is included in the annual price. Additional rounds can be requested for a small fee, but the typical customer never needs more than one — the brief is detailed enough up front to land close on the first build.

Can Wiz build e-commerce websites?

Not directly. Wiz Studio Labs builds high-conversion landing pages, not full e-commerce storefronts. For e-commerce, we recommend Shopify or Easystore — both excellent for the Malaysian SME market. Wiz pairs well with these by serving as the brand-led marketing site that links into the checkout.

Do I own my domain and content?

Yes. The customer keeps full ownership of their domain (Wiz only maps DNS). All copy, images and content the customer provides remain the customer's IP. The visual design and code are licensed to the customer for the duration of their annual subscription.

What's the difference between Wiz and a freelancer or agency?

Malaysian agencies typically charge RM 5,000 to RM 15,000 for a website (with a 4-8 week timeline). Freelancers vary wildly in quality. Wiz Studio Labs delivers agency-grade design — the same cinematic style used by Apple, Stripe, Linear and Aesop — for RM 399/year by combining founder oversight with AI-empowered production. We can do this because we have no client-services overhead, no office, and a tight product (one template world per industry, not custom-everything).

Is Wiz a website builder like Wix or Squarespace?

No. Wix, Squarespace and Webflow are DIY platforms — the customer builds the site themselves. Wiz Studio Labs is a managed-build service: we build the site for you based on your brief. The customer never has to learn a website builder, drag a block, or pick a font.

The short version

I am Dan, 27, Director of DNE Forwarding, a Port-Klang based freight forwarder my family has operated for three decades. I joined the business in 2025 after six years in data analytics — first as a tech consultant at EY (Kuala Lumpur), then as a senior data analyst at Grab. I read Business Management at the University of Reading.

Wiz Studio Labs is the side studio I run with a partner who came from Amazon UK's product and engineering team. We build cinematic-grade landing pages and websites for Malaysian SMEs at RM 399 / year — the same design language used by Apple, Stripe, and Linear, applied to a Klang Valley dental clinic or a Johor renovation studio.

Why I write The Wiz Journal

Most writing on SME websites in Malaysia is either agency-marketing or generic American advice copy-pasted onto a .my domain. I wanted to publish what actually works on the ground here — measured from real builds, with real prices, real outcomes, and no aspirational handwaving.
